Hello I'm Ronnie Phillips 

Fine artist, my specialty is Oil Painting and drawing/sketching. As well as acrylics.

I live in Neptune Beach Florida. 

I have a passion to create, when something inspires me, I'll take a picture sketch it out with charcoal and paint it. I love having music playing when I paint, generally classic rock the music I grew up with.

I have a zest for life!  

 Art has always given me a peacefulness and happiness.

I've been Drawing sense I can remember and have been Oil Painting for my adult life.

Enrolling in an Oil Painting Class many years ago sponsored by FSCJ was enough to give direction and inspire me.

As I create, portraying the movement of nature and the beauty of colors as they blend into each other.  I want my art to communicate calmness, just as nature can and I take pleasure sharing my art and the satisfaction from the process of complementing a new piece.

As I teach oil painting it's a delight working with my students as well learning from them and seeing the different ways individual creativity emerges. 

Inspired by the teachings of Bill Alexander< Bob Ross, Leonardo Da Vinci and others I also believe that "painting makes people better/happy. If even more people painted, the world would be a more peaceful - there would be so much more beauty in the world.

Each student is unique, it is my duty to empower them and allow them to challenge me.
